TALLAHASSEE -- Leon High School senior Allie Wetteland has accepted a scholarship to row for the University of Alabama. A four-year, varsity rower for Leon Crew, Wetteland was recruited by Ohio State University, University of Wisconsin, Bucknell University and the University of Central Florida.

ORLANDO – Leon Crew’s novice rowers posted top finishes at the Sunrise Sprints Regatta last weekend in Orlando, an outcome that bodes well for the future of the program.

BOSTON, MA -- Leon Crew finished in the top tier at the 43rd Head of the Charles, the nation’s largest regatta, with more than 8,000 rowers participating from around the world.

JACKSONVILLE -- In the opening race of the season Saturday, Leon Crew took first place in the men’s youth eight division, besting 14 other boats with the fastest time of the day (17:04.00.)   Leon Crew rowed two other boats in the same event, finishing fourth (18:22.00) and fifth (18:28.00.)
